At many schools, learning comes from more than just books, computers, and classroom lectures.

For students studying performing arts, specialized equipment and materials are needed to enrich their educational experience. So, when this high school’s performing arts department approached a recent renovation, they focused on keeping their valuable educational tools organized, secure, and accessible to teachers and authorized students.

Prop Rooms

After meeting with school administrators and department educators, the local Spacesaver consultant drew up creative solutions to meet a variety of needs throughout the department. To securely store large stage props, Spacesaver’s RaptorRAC® Widespan Shelving was fitted with locking roll-down tambour doors. For smaller props, their consultant outfitted the department with locking cabinets made of 4-Post shelving and steel doors.

Music Library

Unlike traditional file cabinets, our hanging sheet music filing system is designed to bring efficient document management in less space. Sheet music is organized on racks inside Spacesaver high-density shelving, allowing for instructors quick access to the pieces they need for their students.

Visible and Secure Storage

Last but not least, teachers needed locking cabinets to store expensive video production equipment, but also wanted to be able to see inside to verify that everything was stored properly. Spacesaver’s 4-Post shelving fitted with locking perforated steel doors creates cabinets that keep stored items visible and secure.
